New Digha Surf Rescue Demo
Report: The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.
Demonstration: 100% practical demonstration was shown to the 50 employees of Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
Digha Sea Beach being a vulnerable destination for the public visiting these beaches required special attention in terms of handling, First Aid & CPR and evacuation of injured or drowning victims from the beach to the nearest Govt. Hospital at old Digha. LSSI being a resource organisation in this respect was given the responsibility to demonstrate the perfect techniques of such handling including the usage of specific equipments.
The trainees were extremely enthusiastic about all the topics and participated in all the mock drills and various arduous training exercise that were held. The trainees comprised of employees of Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
